How long have you lived in Knoxville?

I have lived in Knoxville for 16 years. This is the longest I have ever lived in one place, and I am so happy to call Knoxville my home. I was truly meant to be a “Southern belle” and, after living all over the country, I feel like I found my perfect home.

What is your favorite activity to do in Knoxville?

One of the best things about living in Knoxville is experiencing Tennessee football game day, especially the tailgating with tens of thousands of fans in orange and white set up across campus, the downtown area and on the water with the Vol Navy. That is so much fun. I also love being on the lake, and the East Tennessee area has beautiful waterways.

What is your favorite location in Knoxville?

I love to go to Market Square and the downtown area. There are so many restaurants and shops and everything is in walking distance from the Convention Center.

What do you think sets Knoxville apart as a great city to visit?

Knoxville has really grown, and it is such a beautiful city with so much to do. The people here love their city and are so welcoming to guests. We truly want you to have a good time and all of us from Convention Center staff to people you meet walking around our city will want to help you enjoy Knoxville. The Old City, Market Square, Tennessee campus, World’s Fair Park and downtown area offer so many options for entertainment with the Convention Center – the first one in the state to be LEED Green Certified – serving as a hub.

What is your favorite part about working at the Knoxville Convention Center?

I love what I do here. The Convention Center staff is like my second family. I have built such special relationships with all my clients, which makes each day exciting. There is always something new, and I get to meet and build such great relationships with people from all around the world. I look forward each day to coming to work.
