Kim Beets
Director of Food and Beverage
Kim Beets oversees all operations of the Food and Beverage department. Under her leadership, the center’s food and beverage services have made major strides in our environmentally friendly green initiatives.
Beets joined SMG, our managing partner, and the Knoxville Convention Center in July of 2002 as a sales manager. She was promoted to catering sales manager in 2003, senior catering sales manager in 2005 and then her current position in 2007.
Her hospitality career began in 1982 at the Hyatt Regency Knoxville, where she earned several awards, including employee of the year and nominee for manager of the year in 2001. Beets’ 30-plus years in the hospitality industry has been characterized by one driving force – dedication to customer service is paramount.
Beets, a native of Knoxville, is active in the community and helps organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, Knox Area Rescue Ministries and Kids against Hunger. She is a member of the Knoxville Special Events Society and is a graduate of the 2011 winter class of Introduction Knoxville.
